+516 You're kinda pissed that singers win America's Got Talent every year. That's what American Idol is for, amirite?

Well, singers under 16. And with AGT, singers can pursue a certain type of music. Susan Boyle was an Opera singer and would have never made it far on AI. Country sungers and Yodelers. AI is mire a general singer compotition sense they make you sing ALL kinds if music. And on AGT, you can do whatever you want.

This also fits nicely to Britain's Got Talent and the X-factor. Although I'll admit that I couldn't sing the songs I wanted to If I entered X-Factor because I prefer rock music and they're all about pop...

not really. the only singer ever to win britain's got talent was paul potts and he was an opera singer who never would have made it far on the x-factor. but the x-factor is all about pop, i'll agree with you there. "sex on fire" is considered hardcore rock on that show :L

And this is why I'm considered a 'Metal Fan'. I'm a Rock fan, I actually don't like Metal because it's too heavy! And then there's the other end where bands like Slipknot are now 'Rock' and Metal is now non-existent...shameful world.

I'm pretty sure the first girl who won was 11 and nowhere near old enough to complete on American Idol. Plus, the genre of songs she sang probably would not have made her won American Idol. And the reason why she was considered talented is because she sang like that so young, not that she was a typical wanna-be pop star like most American Idol contestants.

Yeah but dancers have often won on Britains Got Talant and that bugs me if a certain type of act wins a few years in a row cause then you know the same things going to happen for years after.
