It pisses you off when people in Spanish class pronounce the H's, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Even more when people over-enunciate Vs as Bs.

My Spanish teacher taught us that V's are pronouced as B's... I knew she was lying!
by Anonymous13 years ago
They are, but it's subtle :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not the way she says it. But nonetheless, she's the worst teacher I've had so far.
by Anonymous13 years ago
My teacher is the same way, she has a horrible Spanish accent too. It almost sounds like American pronunciation and it makes me want to throw something.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or the J's, jajajajajaja.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Depends on the word and level of Spanish.
In my town, we have strong accents [at least, as far as accents go. To us, they seem perfectly average] so having to switch to a less-harsh tone with different pronunciations can be tricky.
But you'd be less annoyed with a twelve year old than an eighteen year old.

Yeah. i remember one time on ugly betty when the mean bitch lady pronounced it HHola. Pretty funny
by Anonymous13 years ago
THE Gs AAAAGGGGHHHHH.
by Anonymous13 years ago
or when they say "Jose come el jalapeños" but they're like "Joe-sey cum el juh-lahp-ehnoes."
by Anonymous13 years ago
Los* jalapeños.

Spanish grammar Nazi!
by Anonymous13 years ago
The girl who sits next to me does it on purpose as a failed attempt to be funny. It's so annoying.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know what you mean! My spanish 1 teacher would say "buenos dias clase" at the beginning of class and we would say " buenos dias señorita" and one girl would always have to say it as obnoxious as possible. "BWAY NOSE DEE AS" with an over-emphasized southern accent. (even though we live in the south)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Especially since I'm the highest level spanish at my school...
Still, that doesn't stop this one girl.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or when they pronounce the ll as a l. This girl in my class goes 'ela and elo'
by Anonymous13 years ago
I get a bit irritated when this happens in French too.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or in German when they pronounce the 'w's the same way as they're pronounced in English :|.
by Anonymous13 years ago
