**no to dating a smoker, not no to my statement.
by Anonymous14 years ago
Because of kissing. I mean, ew.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I really don't mind or notice. Cigars can be hella sexy too.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Blunts can MAKE you hella sexy too

Your mom smokes after sucking my dick everytime.

by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd rather not, but if I liked them enough it wouldn't bother me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And people claim they're not shallow..
by Anonymous13 years ago
...That's shallow?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Very
by Anonymous13 years ago
It depends. They could just be worried about their health. I know my dad always smoked inside and it was disgusting and bad for us all, so my mom kicked him out. I don't blame her at all. However, if they stay away from others while they smoke, I think it's okay.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How is it shallow? Smoking disgusts me. I can't stand the smell, the taste, the idea of it. Also, I wouldn't want to be emotionally attached to someone with those sort of health risks. I worry a lot about the people I love; why would I want to add lung cancer to my list?
Just because I'm not attracted to people who smoke and wouldn't want to date someone who does doesn't make me shallow. I find it a disgusting, unhealthy habit, and that's that.

Shallow
by Anonymous13 years ago
How?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Sh........................................allow
by Anonymous13 years ago
Glad we could have such a civilized, mature conversation.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Glad you're so shallow
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's shallow in the same way that I can't stand the smell or sight of an obese person and the idea of them engorging themselves every meal. I wouldn't want to be attached to someone with health risks associated with obesity.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Actually, that's a bit different. You're thinking of their physical appearance. I don't care what the smoker looks like. I mean, smoking wouldn't really be a deal breaker if I liked the person enough, but I wouldn't chose a smoker and I'd want them to quit *for their own sake.*
by Anonymous12 years ago
Depends on what they're smoking.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I find the smell of cigarette smoke quite attractive. :$
by Anonymous13 years ago
glad you like the smell of lung cancer...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Agreed.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Like the zombie who grabs you with its tounge?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahah took me awhile
by Anonymous13 years ago
Smokers can be good people.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not a question of whether they are good people, rather, of the choice's they make, the results it could have on you and potentially your children.
by Anonymous13 years ago
There are perfectly good people that it just wouldn't be a good idea to date/marry. For example, I wouldn't want to date someone with bad credit because if I ended up falling in love with them, it wouldn't be smart to marry them no matter how great they are. Smoking isn't necessarily a deal breaker to me though.
by Anonymous13 years ago
smoking anythingg is cust..
by Anonymous13 years ago
only certian people can make smoking look bad boy sexy
in my opioion
by Anonymous13 years ago
What's an "opioion"?
by Anonymous13 years ago
i actually wouldn't mind dating a boy who smokes, it's his life, not mine. but if he wants to spend time with me, then I don't want to be able to smell smoke on him because the smell makes me gag.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I used to always say I'd never date a smoker. Then I met my husband, who smokes. If you love someone enough, its worth putting up with.
by Anonymous13 years ago
in all fairness, most of this site is 12- 16 year olds
by Anonymous13 years ago
And yet people here claim they're not shallow
by Anonymous13 years ago
Anybody who claimed this is shallow has yet to explain why.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because you ignore absolutely everything that makes the other person great just because 'omg that smell is obnoxious'
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you're dating that means you're going to spend a lot of time together. Which probably means that person is going to smoke around you. Which means you'll get second hand smoke which is more deadly than firsthand. Sorry I like living.
And even if it was about the smell, would you smell someone that smelt like really bad B.O. all the time? Probably not in reality.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you'd really like them you'd date them.Like i said ignoring everything because of 1 bad thing is shallow.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not shallow if it's a big enough thing. Would you date a serial killer? It's only one bad thing.
Protecting my health is not shallow. Thats also like saying not eating McDonalds because it tastes good is shallow
by Anonymous13 years ago
That would be an awful thing to not date someone over. If he was someone I really cared about and really loved, I would put up with it and eventually try to help him quit.
My mother was a smoker, and she quit for my father. My cousin quit when she got pregnant. Neither have touched a cigarette since. It's possible.
Deciding you don't want to date someone JUST because they smoke is obnoxious. It's not like people who smoke are evil and want to give you second hand smoke induced lung cancer. They're just regular people who took up a not-so-great habit. That doesn't change who they are on the inside (Metaphorically, I mean; obviously smoking does bad things to your physical insides).
by Anonymous13 years ago
People are saying that it would be shallow to agree with this, but honestly, I think smoking is really disgusting. I'm not saying that people who smoke are evil, I'm just saying the smell of smoke makes me gag and it could end up having effects on my health as well. There are many logical, non-shallow reasons to not date someone who smokes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Exactly. I'm not saying that if I really, really loved someone who smoked, I wouldn't date them, because I probably would. I just am generally not attracted to smokers, because I simply find it disgusting and unhealthy. It's not shallow.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't really care.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If they were nice, and they liked me, then I probably would.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's funny how people have no problem saying they would NEVER date a smoker because it's disgusting and the health risks but if someone said they wouldn't date a fat person everyone would flip shit even though being fat is equally unhealthy and arguably disgusting.
by Anonymous13 years ago
THIS
by Anonymous13 years ago
Fat people don't hurt you just by being fat. (Generally.)
by Anonymous13 years ago
What if they sit on you?
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's why I said "generally."
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's a disgusting habit that usually destroys lives. Kinda pointless and if they are the one.. Your just setting yourself up for heartbreak. Well, prematurely anyways.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Depends what you smoke, I guess. I don't really mind as long as they respect my decision to be a non-smoker.
by Anonymous13 years ago
unintentional troll.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I would date a smoker, because I smoke. And then we could motivate each other to quit.
