+353 You might be retarded. Think about it, you think you aren't, but who really knows that they are? You have a lot of friends, you say? They're just trying to be nice to the kid who is mentally disabled. You get good grades? Teachers feel sorry for you. Have fun knowing that the rest of your life, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If I'm retarded, then what about the kids who run with their arms outstretched and limbsided?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is the funniest thing ever

by Anonymous 13 years ago

DUDE, I totally used to think this! It would keep me up late... I would think, "what if I'm not actually... normal?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nobody's normal, we're all individuals. If you think about normal doesn't actually exist, because we are all unique in some way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's true... I guess I shouldn't worry too much, it's just a wacky thought. Do people with disabilities know that they have disabilities?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Normal does exist, you hipster. We base "normal" on qualities that an overwhelming majority of the population and the average human being have, like two arms, two legs, two eyes, etc. etc.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now you are just discriminating towards the Cyclops population.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I suppose you consider normal to be yourself, since millions of people who weren't like you were killed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think about this all the time...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I couldn't be retarded and earn a 5-digit salary, can I?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Welfaaaaare ;D ahahah [just kidding. it's a joke. seriously. for all you people who take everything literally]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't be proud of your 5 digit salary, that pretty much most of the middle class have. When you are capable of earning say, 6 digits, then you may be proud of yourself. As of now don't bother.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, not all of us can reach your 7-digit body count. . . I mean. . . Salary.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wasn't being proud of the fact that i have a 5-digit salary. I was just pointing out the fact that it's very very rare for a mentally disabled person to earn that much.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

To be mentally retarded is to have an IQ of less than 70. So you could be a really stupid super model and be retarded with more than a 5 digit salary.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always worry this. :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Standardized tests, though not a perfect system, could prove this right/wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do give out modified tests, I think.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No... hence the name Standardized Test.

I really don't see people being nice to the legitimately handicapped kids. If anything, kids are even crueller to them. The handicapped kids also have an assistant teacher follow them around to make sure they don't get lost or hurt themselves. People generally feel like idiots when talking about stuff with me. They get mad at me because I know too much, and often get tired of me being so smart. I can actually control the flow of one of my classes. The teacher likes to ask questions, and I can decide whether to let class progress by answering it, or I can make us spend five minutes on the question because nobody else ever speaks up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You know, maybe them getting tired of you "being so smart" is really them getting tired of you being a know-it-all jerk...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'd say there's a fine line between being smart and being a know-it-all jerk. I don't tell my friends they're wrong or rub their noses in it. I just happen to know a lot of stuff, and it actually disgusts me that people are upset by the pursuit of knowledge.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really don't like you now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bro, I thought we already didn't like eachother. It's cool, though. http://www.whoaorno.com/images/274.jpg

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hehe... That picture made me lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you ever think that the teacher asks questions to try and let people figure it out on their own? I mean, maybe people do think you're a know-it-all, but maybe people are just frustrated because they don't get a chance to work it out. School isn't just about learning facts and having the answers, it's about learning to solve problems. If that means taking an extra five minutes for people to solve it when you could just move on by telling them the answers, then it's worth it for the other people in your class.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you've ever had this thought, I think you're okay. If you were mentally disabled enough to hinder your lifestyle, you'd probably not be capable of thinking these thoughts. Of course, I mean this in the nicest way. Everybody's got some sort of quirk. Don't just sit there and hope that you're not 'retarded', if it's not lessening the quality of your life, then don't worry about it. But yes, I've definitely thought this before. Kinda freaked me out. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you mean like, special ed? Because there's a class for that at my school. My friend's sister is in the class, so I go with her to eat lunch with them. If that's what you mean I'm pretty sure I'm fine. I'm also in acting, and probably wouldn't get cast if I had those problems.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well if ur giving good grades to retards, then that would make sense why there are so many in my honors/AP classes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well unfortunately scantron and math are not able to be graded subjectively and in both math and most scantron tests I score exceptionally, therefore my grade is not based upon how my teachers feel about me. Way to be wrong, retard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was talking about this to my friend, the conversation kinda went like this: Me: What if I'm retarded and I just didn't know it? You would tell me right?? Friend: I don't think you a- wait. no, no you're not! I'm not so sure now...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have this same post... guess it's never getting homepaged now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's so weird. Between the ages of 5 and 10, I believed that I was just a little bit retarded. But then I realized that I can do things like swimming without drowning and read at an extremely advanced level for my age.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh my gosh, I always think that, I was watching this documentary of these people with downs that got married (it was amazing, they were the sweetest couple on earth) and they were asking them if they knew what down syndrome was and they said yes and then they asked them if they had it and they said no. If you were, you wouldn't even know it!
