-85 Oh honest sir William of the playwright doth be one of womanly cleansing. Twas but an impossibility and none more and none less that these sons of men spake in such adverse tongues. (Shakespear was a douche. There's no way people used to talk like that.) amirite?

Americans are so ignorant. It's old english language.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

lol, really? Well that's most certainly a surprise. I never could have guessed that it was written in an older form of the English Language.

I wanted to vote Yeah You Are because the translation was correct, but wanted to vote No Way because people did talk similar to that, he just added flourish since it's a play. Why did anyone vote what they voted?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I voted No Way because I think he was an amazing writer who wrote some of the greatest classics of all time. Just because you are too ignorant to realize that the written and spoken language changes over time doesn't make him a "douche." It simply makes you ignorant.

lol. gotta love the self righteous.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Languages can't stay the same forever.I bet in the future, some ignorant person like you will say the same thing about the way we speak today.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I already say the same thing about the way we speak today. See above. Gotta love the self righteous.

Gadsby's right, most people did not actually talk exactly like that back then (but it was middle english). People used to write very formally, it wasn't until relatively recently that people started writing dialogue the way actual people spoke. Mary Shelley did the same thing in Frankenstein.
