+299 Everything in school is more fun if it's done on the computer. Except tests, they just feel weird without pencil and paper. amirite?

I hate doing things on the computer. Computer, to me, equals fun time. I need pencil and paper to focus.

Same here. I hate professors who 1) Do nothing but go over power point slides for their lectures and 2) Who require you to sign up for some stupid online homework thing that not only costs extra money, but NEVER gives you any credit for showing your work or almost getting the correct answer.

Ahh I would hate that. When working math problems, there's so much room for mistakes that it's ridiculous to not give credit. Most of the time it's simple mistakes that leave you a number or two off the right answer.

I agreed with the first part, but disagree with the second part. Some of my college class require online tests and I have no problem with them.

My school issued us laptops and made us do everything through online programs, which probably saved me from failing Chemistry because the system had a hilarious flaw. When you selected an answer and told the computer to save it the screen would flicker for a moment. I realized after a few weeks that it flickered for half a second longer if you'd answered incorrectly. I don't know why, but I think it was because it couldn't just save that you'd done it wrong, it also had to remember which of three wrong answers you'd chosen. So when I didn't know the answer I'd try all of them and keep track of how long the screen flickered. When a lot of people were using the program the flicker time was really obvious, but when there wasn't as much traffic it was a lot harder to spot, which, apart from the essay questions, was all that ever stopped me from acing a class I barely understood.

We use these things called CPS remotes where you type in the answer to the remote and it sends it to a computer and grades it as you go. I mean, its cool how it gives you an immediate grade but it messes up ALL THE TIME and it'll mark a right answer as wrong. And it's a force of habit to take out a pencil for a test but I'm not gonna use it! Sometimes technology isn't the way to go...
