You obviously don't have the mental power to come up with this, but I found it interesting because oftentimes, the one capturing raw footage of the disaster accepts the fact that he or she will most likely not survive, and therefore wish to document the disaster so that it will hopefully miraculously be recovered so others can know what actually happened from the perspective of those who were there.

My brother does this for a living. He shoots video and sells it to news channels. You'd be surprised at how much you can make.
