i wouldn't say it makes them look "mutant" but i agree it is not right

I got my ears pierced when I was 6 months old, its a cultural thing, and hasn't significantly impacted my life yet.

It wouldn't make them look like a mutant, but I think it shouldn't be done. The child should get to choose when they are older.

I had my ears pierced when I was a baby and now I thank my mom for it so much. I saw my friends get theirs done when they were older and cry about the pain and it getting infected because kids aren't usually responsible enough to take care of it on their own. Also I've always been able to take my earrings out for very long periods of time (months) and never have to worry about them filling in, as I worry about other ear piercings I got when I was older... Some of which got infected as well. If the child doesn't like them she can easily take them out when she's older.. 2 seconds of pain to something that can barely think is not wrong at all
