A conversation that happened in my eight grade history class. Teacher: "Does anyone know the capitol of Paris?" Dumb kid: "Ooh, I know! Idaho!"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can almost guarantee that they were joking. Nobody is that dumb.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Trust me, they weren't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I will definitely disagree with you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People can definitely be that dumb, I'm not trying to advertise my posts or anything but http://www.amirite.net/557978

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's never any shame in advertising your own posts.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kids are so dumb. True convo in A.P. Geography: Blonde 1: What's a continent? Blonde 2: Um... IDK?? Blond 1: LOL, We should NOT be in this class. The sad part is that they were serious and this was a private conversation. ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kinda creepy how you were just sitting there... listening it up

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, I'm a creeper. ;) Haha, no, I sat behind the first blonde girl.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Someone in my class was appalled when she discovered Asia was not inside of the United States. In fact, she thought everything except for Canada was inside of the United States.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had one that thought there was a bridge to Hawaii..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There needs to be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This reminds me in 5th grade when a kid seriously asked our science teacher if brown cows give you chocolate milk. The pathetic thing is he was completely seriously. Thank goodness as we got older they had the honors classes....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You sound extreeemely pretentious.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah but it was for the betterment of the students. Some kids needed help, and there's nothing wrong with that. Having separate classes allowed them to get the attention they needed. And other kids were bored with the slow pase at which the class was moving, so the benefited from faster moving classes. In retrospect that did sound very bitchy, so I apologize.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HOLY CRAP a 10 year old makes a simple mistake! Stop the presses!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah if it was one time that is one case, two it's another. But the kid kept saying stuff like this on a daily bases.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A girl I know asked me how to use a ruler. We were in high school ono

Or that Austrailia is a continent... ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... ono Australia is a continent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

http://www.countriesandcities.com/continents/oceania/ ono

by Anonymous 13 years ago

or "Australasia"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Sometimes this continent is only called "Australia", and a few people call it Australasia (the latter term can be confusing because some people use it to mean all of Asia and the Pacific Ocean Islands)" From the site you linked...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can call a square a circle, but that doesn't mean it is one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_(continent) Fact still is, if someone lists the continents and says "Australia" it is still acceptable and correct.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ugh, use of wikipedia...I'll ignore that part. But ya, you're right, but that's only because it's popularly known as Australia. I say, that doesn't make it correct. You say, it does. Two different opinions. I'll stop here, I'll admit ya got me tho :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, there were other websites, but wikipedia does compile all the information and use sources, I'd say it's reliable. I'm happy to agree to disagree too : P

A girl that was in one of my classes thought Scotland was attached to Canada and that Paris was in Quebec.
