Actually, it's because girls like douchebags. Douchebags give a sense of strong confidence, virility, and manliness. Girls like that. It's a sign of dominance. But with all that dominance comes a ridiculous amount of pride in yourself, so out comes the douchebag. Also to mention that teenagers are just generally superficial and douchebags are aware of their own beauty and let it shine to the women, who embrace it because "ugly ppl r sooo und8able >:/". So when a guy flexes his muscles at you, or winks and smiles like a pretty boy, and you fall for it, it's all your fault. It's the same vice versa, when a girl shakes her ass in front of a guy and puffs her lips out, and the guy falls for it, it's all his fault.
