+138 Feminism would garner much more credibility and sympathy if a lot of feminists learned the difference between propagating equality and barefaced misandry, amirite?

I'm gonna assume that the words "credibility" and "sympathy" are equally interchangeable with "support" (in this context).

You would be correct in making said assumption.

I'm a feminist and I really don't like the women who clearly hate men who try and justify it by calling it feminism, when it isn't.

Misandry isn't real. It's an idea made up by men who hate feeling like they aren't in charge of everything anymore.

I smell a feminist.

I'm a feminist, who genuinely does approve of equality. I don't think misandry is okay. The problem is, men who don't approve of feminism (or really know what it is) will often cry "misandry" at any challenger. They'll even say that admitting male privilege exists is misandry, so it loses credibility. The simple fact is that women do not not have the institutional power to oppress men with words, whereas as men DO have the institutional power to oppress women with words. It's the same with white people and colured people, straight people and non-straight people, cis and trans* people, etc... I'm a firm believer that all genders just need to stop badmouthing each other though. I don't get why what gender someone is MATTERS so much to people!
