Posts like this just piss me the hell off. Not everyone looks awesome with no makeup. Very few people do. Some girls even have acne scars, skin discoloration and other things that they like to use makeup to cover up. Natural looking makeup makes it appear that you're not wearing it at all, while you still ARE. it makes you look nice, without everyone knowing you need it. Trust me, if girls stopped wearing makeup, guys would stop the "oh we like natural beauty better" and start bitching about how we don't try at all to be attractive.

I guess the makeup manufacturers want to give the impression that it's what you naturally look like. It's not actually natural, though, which is what I think the op was trying to say.

I'm pretty sure that everyone commenting here understands the opposing argument to a certain extent. I understand what the OP is saying because it ISN'T natural because it is makeup, but, on the other hand, what are they going to call it? Makeup So You Don't Look Like You're Wearing Makeup? They wanted to make certain makeup that looked like you naturally had a stunning face for those who don't... so they named it natural makeup because it looks like you COULD be natural, only if you are, in fact, a Greek goddess. I wear natural makeup and people tell me that they think I never wear makeup. Therefore, mission accomplished. :D

Maybe some people wear makeup because it makes them happy. Not everybody is obsessed with what everyone thinks of them. Maybe some of us can't be cheerful and confident without feeling good about ourselves first? Make up helps with that.

I have horrible dark circles that never go away. If I didnt wear makeup I would look like I had a black eye all the time.
