+281 If you were a lucid dreamer, reality would suck, amirite?

I am a lucid dreamer my friend, and let me tell you that it is awesome. I didn't even try to become one, I went through a period where I would partially wake up multiple times at night. Eventually this happened enough I could dream in that half-awake state and control what was happening. Now I can do that all of the time.

Not really. I'm not consistent with my lucid dreaming but I can do it every once in a while, and though it's fun while it lasts, it's kind of empty. Maybe I'm just not that good at it but I can never replicate anything, so if I'm enjoying myself there's always the nagging feeling that it will be over once and for all when I wake up. In reality though, if you're friends with someone you can keep up the relationship, if you like a place you can go there again, etc. It's fun but it doesn't decrease the enjoyment I can get out of reality.

Maybe we're all lucid dreamers, we just don't remember the dreams. Which is good, cuz then we forget all the super cool things we can do in dreams.

I sometimes control my dreams. It's weird because I can only control them if I start imagining it before I fall asleep and then it just continues. If I fall asleep watching tv or something I can't. Like some others have said, it's kind of empty though. For example, in my dreams I can quit my job, eat whatever I want and go kiss my crush, but it didnt actually happen. You don't have any benefits. You can't taste the food or feel the kiss. However it can be disappointing when you wake up and it's time to continue with the normal routine because you don't have the guts to do any of those things in real life.
