I prefer white girls since I'm white, which sucks because a lot of black chicks hit on me.

Some people seem to be interpreting this wrong. For me, it doesn't matter either, but since the majority of my community is white, I'm obviously more likely to date a white girl.

What if you're not the majority of your community? What if you're like, Blasian and the rest of the community is still mostly all white. You'd have the same probability of dating a white person as any other, so this post is false.

How do you know? Often '"you' is used in place of "one" such as in "how do you make a cake/dish", but it's not specifically asking //you// but rather how to make it at all. So maybe this post is saying "it's more likely for two people to date of the same race".

Right, but considering the majority of posts on amirite.net aren't "Everyone likes ____," the easy conclusion to make is the post isn't addressing everyone but instead the reader. Also, "it's more likely for two people to date of the same race" is still true because for the majority of people, that is true, which makes statistics support that statement.

Well "it's more likely to..." is only true because the majority of people would have the same majority to choose from, and would make a lot of same-race couples. The other races are more likely, on the contrary, to date people of another race (the majority). Besides, maybe this post isn't even looking at statistics at all, but rather on the preference? I'm a lazy person, so it's more likely for me to waste a whole day rather than do work. This isn't statistics, it's what my personality and history is, and therefore I vote on this post NW because I //know// what I'm more likely to do.

I'm black, and I live in NYC which is extremely diverse, so I don't have the problem of being exposed to only one race. Still, I'm usually attracted to white guys, some Asian guys (that includes Indians), or hispanic guys. It's not so much about looks, though that does play a part; it's just that in general I don't relate to black guys or most black people at that. Of course there are exceptions, but this is generally the case.

When my family came to America they were not exposed to the "ghetto" culture, for lack of a better phrase. None of my immediate family is like that, and we don't speak using ebonics or anything. I went to school with a variety of races, but I found myself mostly hanging out with non-black people. I often get, "she's more white than you think," and things like that, and family from the south makes fun of me for "being white" and they say I'm going to marry a white man. I don't mind. I'm fine with who I am.

You basically described my life, I just was never exposed to the "ghetto" culture as you put it and I don't speak my native language (my family comes from Africa originally) and I usually hang out with white people more than black, but that's mainly because there aren't really any black people where I live
