+470 In Hollywood, it's alright for a guy to be semi-overweight, but when a woman is, it's all over the cover of all the magazines, amirite?

It's like that everywhere... women care more about weight than men.

Not all women, trust me. But it's not just that. it's that more often than not, women are the ones modeling in sexy swimsuits, lingerie, clothing, jewelry, etc. They want to be as appealing as possible, so they have to be in better shape. Sure, some are too skinny because of pressure, but it's really better when they're more fit because it sells, looks more attractive, and is overall better than some fat chick in a bikini.

That was actually what I said at first, I ended up deleting it, because I went on a banter about it... anyways, you're right. If a man was also a swimsuit model and he gained pounds, everybody would probably talk about it, so it depends on their job.

Lead story on the tabloids: "Is that cellulite? Lead story on year later: "*Instert actress here* is anorexic!" Seriously gossip magazines should stop being such hypocrites. I don't know why people would worry about the lives of people you don't know anyway.

I don't mean to be like a feminazi but like if a woman was Jonah Hill-size everyone would freak the fuck out.

Weight is a feminist issue
