+256 Easter is at least as religiously significant as Christmas, but it just doesn't seem as magical because the culture doesn't feed off of its excitement as much, amirite?

It's cause traditionally, there are no presents. And people like presents.

I think it's more than presents, but you are right. Also, where are all the decorations, songs, tv specials, etc? I know that as a Christian I should not care about what secular culture does to Easter. Actually, I should probably be thankful it hasn't lost it's religious significance. Just noticing a strange fact, that culture has chosen one holiday and not another

very true.

I think it actually depends in what country you are and what religion is prominent. Here in Spain we get a whole week off and you're supposed to do certain things related to church, that let's be honest, not everyone does, but it still a relevant event of the year

Of course it's relevant, but how many people do you know that decorate there house for Easter? Or sing Easter songs?

*their

there are songs, and people don't decorate their houses because is not a celebration like Christmas, then again I'm a catholic so we probably have different views on this

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm Catholic too. And how is Easter not a celebration? You're celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

Jesus was born in the Spring. Christmas is a Pagan holiday.
