The only reason that I'm replying to this comment is because I wanted to test out which finger I use. Index, right hand. Some times, absentmindedly, with my right thumb.

Same. Index, right hand, and I use my thumb only when I write numbers (or symbols on the same row).

I actually don't, but I guess I can justify this with the fact that I am slightly ambidextrous, AND I've been playing the piano for forever (which, as pianists know, the first music one learns usually ends up having a difficult or repetitive left hand-movement).
