+505 We all have that one friend where everybody likes their statuses and pictures on facebook, no matter how idiotic their status may seem or how ugly their pictures might be, amirite?

It's mostly a matter of statistics and how many friends you have. Say one person has 2 identical facebook accounts, apart from having 300 friends on one account, and (for convenience) 900 friends on the other. It is generally logical that if 10 people like a photo on the account with 300, that 10x3 would like that same exact photo on the account with 900 since 900=300x3. And since 30 people like that one now, another 10 or 20 might like it because they SEE that those 30 people already liked it, making it seem like a generally like-able photo. That last part is debatable, but the rest makes logical sense.

that could ge true, but I think for the most part people who like your statuses/photos actually know you and have talked to you in real life, so adding 600 people you aren't freinds with probably won't get you many more likes.

That's funny, I don't remember saying that you don't know the other 600 people, even if that did matter. Why don't you contemplate what you are about to say before you say it next time, save yourself some dignity? It's a matter of statistics, I'm not considering the individual relationship each person has with the user of the facebook account. I don't care if they attended soccer practice together on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or if their grandmas were in the same choir group at church or, hell, even if they are two strangers 30 years apart, living on seperate continents who don't even know how to pronounce eachothers names. Get it? That was not what I was talking about. Anyways, the point being, that information is irrelevant.

Yeah, when you said one person has 300 friends on one account and 900 on the other I assumed that the extra 600 were people they generally knew that go to their school or something, like a lot of people 900 fb friends. Facebook is all about personal relationships. It has to do with the number if friends you have in real life. You don't actually have statistics like that,do you?I'm just saying people with more friends on facebook might not get more likes than someone with less.
