Why would anyone CHOOSE to be gay? I mean, honestly. Think about it. Gay people are the victims of hatred and insults practically on a daily basis. No one would choose that life for themselves unless they have some serious masochistic tendencies. Straight people don't choose to be straight, they just are. Why assume gay people are any different?

Homosexuality is not a choice. Tons of gay people commit suicide because others tell them they are disgusting and unholy so much they start to believe it. Why would anyone choose to be hated like that? It's illogical.

Though I have heard a lot of disrespectful off color jokes about homosexuality. I've never seen anyone openly and directly insult or harass someone for being gay. It almost never happens in richer urban areas of America like where I live.

Actually, you CAN decide who you fall in love with. What you're saying is like: "Oh, look at that guy over there. I've never seen him before but i have a HUGE urge to love him. Well, I guess I should marry him even though he looks like a rapist." The example is a bit exaggerated, yes, but my case in point stands within this reason. But other than that, yes, like you said, you can decide to kill someone.
