Tampon dispensers should not be optional in public restrooms, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not optional as in, they should be a requirement, or as in, they should not be in public restrooms ever?
I'm assuming the former, but I just want to make sure.

Or how bout a private company can put whatever the heck they want in the bathrooms they own?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well that's not very considerate..
by Anonymous12 years ago
Then don't shop there. That's how the free market works. Go shop at a store that provides tampons. You have no right to demand that a privately owned corporation confine to your needs.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I have no right to DEMAND it, but it should required in every women's restroom.
by Anonymous12 years ago
To require it is to demand it. Bring your own tampons. Why should a privately owned company be forced to supply you with tampons?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's just considerate.. Why should resteraunts and shops be required to have bathrooms at all? Go pee in your OWN bathroom.
by Anonymous12 years ago
There are plenty of public places that do not have bathrooms, and I've never seen that be a big problem. Do you propose requiring bathrooms to be in all public places?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Look, Im not saying not having a tampon dispenser is a HUGE problem. It's not worth a protest or anything. I'm only saying that including one is considerate to the female customer, and it's just a little thing that women REALLY appreciate. Yes, we should always be prepared and shouldn't rely on public restrooms to provide them, but in case of emergency where we're cought without one, it's really really nice to have them available. But I guess you wouldn't understand that, would you.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm not arguing that it wouldn't be a great convenience for women, nor am I saying they shouldn't be put in restrooms. I am saying that it should not be a requirement.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It kinda should be though..
by Anonymous12 years ago
Why? Who are you to dictate how somebody else runs their business?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It would be nice for those days I forget. It's not like the facility would be having to buy tampons all the time. I'm pretty sure most women would rather use their own, the ones in the bathroom would probably only be used on occasion when someone forgets.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm sure it would be nice, and maybe even profitable for the company. But that doesn't mean it should be required.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Who said anything about required? Also, note the word "public" in this post.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ummmm... "Not optional" and "required" are the same thing.
Also, a restroom in a privately owned supermarket is still considered a public restroom.
by Anonymous12 years ago
what about men's public restrooms...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Condoms, perhaps?
by Anonymous12 years ago
As uncomfortable as it makes people... Condoms should ALWAYS be readily available.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's a good idea, but I don't know how much I would trust bathroom dispenser condoms :P
by Anonymous12 years ago
i went on a roadtrip one summer, and in a gas station in kansas there was this HUGE condom dispenser that had flavored condoms of like all different sizes, but they didn't have a tampon dispenser. like... really?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Those tampon dispensers have helped me on numerous occasions....
by Anonymous12 years ago
OH MY GOD! I went to the bathroom at my college today hoping to be able to buy a tampon from one of those machines, and it was empty. I was pissed.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I know! For us guys, sometimes you get a really bad nosebleed and you need a tampon to soak up the blood. Just kidding, that'd be weird...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Personally, I think pads would be more helpful because tampons vary in size and shape and you can't get one that fits all.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Personally, I'm not sure why you posted that three times...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Whoopps. I'm on touch version and sometimes it does that.
