+477 if running cross country was easy, it'd be called your mom amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

cross country doesn't require skill, it just takes stamina. and thats it. no skill involved.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So maybe it should be called your mom then.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i never mentioned the skills needed to run cross country. i said that it wasn't an easy sport. and it's not. running 6-8 miles daily is not an easy thing to do

by Anonymous 12 years ago

running 6-8 miles daily my ass.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

you try doing it. every week. monday-saturday. and then go running another 4 on sunday.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i was just saying that you obviously don't do that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(fuck you): yeah...i do. every year. right now, you're right i don't. but only because it's spring, and cross country is a fall sport. so now i'm running 2-6 miles a day for track. and 3 miles on sundays.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(fuck you): It is true. We ran that much daily and sometimes 10+ ..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

uh, yeah we do

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sports don't necessarily have to involve skill. And even if it did, it takes SOME kind of skill to run miles and miles in 90-100 degree weather and not throw up...or pass out...or die...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

fuck you cross country takes a lot of skill and work last year, my team won state championships, and no one cared because we "weren't a real sport" fuck everybody like you

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Our sport is your sports punishment."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

if you're referring to cross country, then YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!! lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I am. It was on one of our cross country shirts.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol. k i was for suree. lol. yeah, we've got one with this phrase on it, and on another it says "why are you chasing me?!" on the back of course. lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah. "If you can read this you're losing."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Imagine if it was opposite. "You didn't run fast enough; go play football. NOW!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I have a cross country shirt that says, "When exhaustion gets tired, when agony doubles over in pain, when defeat waves a white flag, i will still be out there...Running." I love it, it's dramatic :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i like it a lot too! lol. there are so many good ones out there! =]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, like my brother has one that says "If you want second place follow me" Well it's actually a track shirt but whatever :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol. close enough. one of my friends wanted to put "We do it better in the woods" but we obvs couldn't cause it's for school. lol. so we decided on this one nd a couple others. "While running, it is rude to count the people you pass out loud" we liked this one too. lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha too bad you couldn't put "We do it better in the woods" that would be awesome lol and i do like "while running, it is rude to count the people you pass out loud"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

thanks =] lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've been debating on doing cross country, but I'm not really sure. Of course, your body looks amazing, but fuck, that's a lot of pain to go through. :/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The first couple miles are the hardest, but once you work yourself up to that, the rest of the running feels sort of numb until you start sprinting at the end. Which could be interpreted as good or bad...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, that's true. I might try it and see how it goes, because I need to stay in shape for soccer. One of my problems is that running is just extremely boring for me. But, maybe there'll be some extra pretty scenery or something, haha.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

cross country is really fun. and the teams, most of the time, are smaller so you really become a family. and if your bored while running, it's always good to bring your ipod with you if you have one. or just run with someone else. lol. and after your done with your workouts, you feel really good and accomplished because you ran so much. =]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yeah, I do hear that it's a lot of fun too. :] it'd be great to just be able to zone out and run, and have nothing on the mind really except running. because it really does feel great. (until you make up for it by eating enough food for a small african village)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yeah lol. you tend to eat your weight in spaghetti. lol. but it's really fun. and you lose it all anyway. sometimes it can be hard to zone out at first, but when you do, it can be very calming :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Cross country takes no skill at all so they should just rename the whole sport your mOm

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Whoever is running on sunday is doing it wrong, you need a day off.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol. well i got with my sister b/c that's her only day off. i do a light workout though so it's all good =]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Cross country runners, holla!
