+741 it's stupid how kids get in trouble in school for defending themselves when someone tries to beat them up. What are they supposed to do, let the other person beat them up while they do nothing about it? amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

in my school, if you can prove it was self defence, they let you off easy

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'd imagine it's be difficult to prove

by Anonymous 12 years ago

exactly...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In my school, you get suspended for 10 days for starting a fight, 1-2 days for being involved in a fight (as in you dont hit back) and 3-5 days for self defense.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's their definition of 'involved in a fight'?? So if y'all got beat up, you get suspended for a couple days anyway? That's bullshit D:>

by Anonymous 12 years ago

WHAT!!!! you get in trouble for something someone did to you?!?! JESUS I would just take the couple extra days in hopes of not completly getting my ass kicked.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

@1220504 (BluntsAreGay): Yeah, the philosophy is that if someone is trying to fight you, you must have done something to provoke it. It's really stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At my school if you're the victim and you don't defend yourself they suspend your attacker, but if you DO defend yourself they sit you both down and explain that they can either punish both of you or neither of you because it's a "two-way thing" and leave it up to you to decide. With your attacker sitting next to you glaring.

I hate how the law, or schools, think if someone punches you in the face, that you're just going to walk away and tell someone. Hell no, I'm punching that nigga back just as hard.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At my school, if you are in a fight you either get spanked or suspended.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lolwut

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Pretty self-explanatory.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Spanking?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yea. I live in the Deep South, and it's a pretty small school. The South is still really old-fashioned.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh wow, I had no idea. Crazy shit.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought corporal punishment was still used all over the US, but I guess that's what I get for being raised in Texas...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Spanking? Kinky..

There was an issue at my school where someone kept threatening a cheerleader (a very tiny cheerleader), but when she went to tell her coach, all the coach said was that if the person hit her and she fought back she'd get kicked off the squad. A few days later she got beat up REALLY bad, cuts, bruises and all, and she didn't fight back because she knew she would only get in trouble if she did.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well my school says you should only fight enough to get them off of you but if you're on top, stop fighting and get help. It makes SOME sense but if someone started beating me up, I wouldn't be able to restrain myself lol.

There was a fight at my school and the person trying to BREAK IT UP got in trouble. He didn't hit anyone or anything, just tried to pull them apart. (The fight went on for a few minutes, unnoticed by the teachers until someone was like "Um, yeah - there's a fight on the other side of the cafeteria. DO SOMETHING. JESUS.")

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You have Jesus as one of your teachers?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When will teachers understand that bullies don't care about a teacher telling them off, or that they don't care about suspension? Bullies understand violence. They pick on people that they know won't fight back, and if you don't do shit about the bully, they'll just attack you harder. Even if you don't hit the bully hard, it's likely that they'll go away. It's not that hard to understand.

This girl at my school slapped a guy really hard against the face because he dumped her friend. The guy shoved her away and got one week of OSS, while she got nothing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In elementry a kid tried to attack me and I fight him off until he was off of me. I still got I trouble! 3 days of suspension lunch detention for 2 weeks and I had to clean lunch tables:p

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sounds like those 3 days of suspension must've been the days you covered basic grammar.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hey I dont care about my internet grammar it dosent matter its the internet so lighten up

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Obviously you haven't [aid attention to the massive amount of Grammar Nazis on this site.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Obviously that was a typo, not a grammar mistake. I don't know many people who actually misspell paid with a bracket.

Back in first grade, a kid tried to hit me, he hit my finger and it scratched him. It drew blood and I got a referal. FOR GETTING HIT!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In my school as of lately due to alot of fights, If you don't hit back at all, the other kids gets expelled from the district. =p

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's what Ghandi did.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They rarely suspend in my school, they just call your parents and give you a warning. If you get three warnings in a year then you get expelled.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

so tell me how this kid hits me first so i throw him to the ground and we wrestle for a second i get off to leave he gets up and goes again so i throw him back down and we wrestle again then i get off to go to the office i get expelled he gets nothing

by Anonymous 12 years ago

One kid was beating up another kid at my school so the kid getting beat up held the guy's wrists against a wall. He didn't slam him against it or anything, just held him there so he'd stop beating him up, and they both got equal punishments. I can understand getting consequences if you throw a punch back, but holding someone back shouldn't be punished.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

since i have very bad ager problems, when someone hits me hard enough, even as a joke, i theach them a lesson to never touch me. Which happenes alot.
