+308 Why does it seem like everyone is depressed? And even the "happy" people seem to only be faking it, hiding a sadness deep down in them...it is sad that everyone is so sad, amirite?

because deep down, there are very few things that satisfy

Or maybe there are lots of things that satisfy, but we always think there will be something better

I agree, and plus life can really suck ass

Happiness doesn't come on its own. And once you achieve it, it doesn't stay on its own either. Being happy is the work of a lifetime and it's very possible for everyone.

Because life barely has good things anymore. Beauty has taken over the world and we hurt animals and earth :(

One of the most annoying things I've ever seen are people that say "When I seem the happiest, I'm actually incredibly depressed etc." Hiding emotions like that is deceitful and selfish.

I think people who go around acting sad and "depressed" all the time are faking it for attention.

Some people, yes. But not everyone. Just because you're not sad and depressed constantly doesn't mean other people aren't.

Actually I was diagnosed with clinical depression earlier this year. I don't go walking around telling everyone so people feel sorry for me though.

"All the lonely people, where do they all come from?"

I found this because I googled it. Seems like everybody is depressed, and it's easier to huddle together than to break free and strive for the happy things in life.
