What about forgetting your complimentary function in a nonhomogeneous differential equation with constant coefficients and initial conditions?

You could forget to write the units, or you could compute incorrectly, or use the wrong equation, or you could write the numbers backwards. Or you write x instead of y, and at the top write y=x to make it technically correct until you try to solve it and then it doesn't make sense so you scribble over your work and write "VARIABLE" where you're supposed to write the answer. I got a lot of points off for that.
