+279 There is no benefits of tons of hours of homework every night. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well... Unless you have to do something you don't wanna do. Then you have an excuse.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are no benefits* Go do some homework.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

ugh I was gonna say that!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Shouldn't it also be "to having tons of homework" or "from doing tons of homework" or "from spending a plethora of hours on homework" or something like that? Sorry if I'm wrong, but the "of" just looks weird to me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Stop trying to look smart by using the word " plethora".

NO HOMEWORK

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I can't YYA this until I know if that grammatical error was purposely ironic or not.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually, there is. It helps you LEARN the shit you're supposed to learn.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, it helps to reinforce the shit you already learned.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not when the teacher assigns reading.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So the teacher assigns reading to teach you how to read? No, the teacher assigns reading to make you better and faster at it, reinforce it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've had reading assignments in every subject, including math, and no, the teacher didn't go over it in class. Why? She didn't have time.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You still knew how to read before you started o.O And you still knew how to answer reading questions. You were reinforcing it, MAKE SENSE? YOU GO OVER IT TO YOURSELF, WITH NO HELP, SO IT STICKS.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Makes sense, but I was talking about reading something that I didn't know, but then did know because I read it. That, by definition, is learning. However, reading it again would be reinforcement.

*are and yeah i agree like i'll do an hour or two but when i find myself doing it all night and becoming stressed out it doesn't help me learn it just makes me exhausted and hating school and after a certain point it just doesn't go into your head anymore because you're so tired sigh

^ What eldorito said. For example, it might help you to learn to use are in stead of is when referring to plurals.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It teaches you discipline, and you learn things.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Seriously, no one fixed the "tons" to " tonnes" yet?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You kind of sound like my mom. She wasn't even born in this country.
