Before anyone says, "Don't do anything illegal and they won't make you paranoid." That's besides the point... whether you're doing anything illegal or not cops usually make people nervous.

They make me nervous as hell. I had one come through our store and I was like "oh shit".

I used to catch shoplifters and when the cops came to arrest them I would feel nervous. :S

Authority figures, making innocent people nervous. On a side note: My (soon) to be mother-in-law had an accident in front of her store, so she was the first one out there to help the girl. Well, when the cops showed up she said "if someone found a body, you know it wasn't me. I'd hide them in that pond over there!" They just looked at her and laughed. I thought "please, shut up."

It's real bad in Phoenix, AZ because the taxis all drive Crown Victoria, same model as the cops.
