I had a friend once who wore this Pink Floyd shirt all the time and one day I played one of their songs and he was like, "what the hell is this trippy shit?" as though he had never heard them before.

To me, not listening to Pink Floyd at least ONCE in your life is the equivalent to never hearing a Queen song. They're both everywhere. Well at least to me because that's the music I was raised on.

It was a slight exaggeration, even though they are popular in most places. That's why I added 'well at least to me'. I'm just saying that I find it strange if someone has never heard Pink Floyd at least once before because everywhere I go Pink Floyd's on the radio, people are wearing their shirts, have bumper stickers, etc. etc.

I'm pretty sure most people know the song Another Brink in the Wall, and having only heard one song does count as listening to Pink Floyd.
