During a really bad cold, your nose seems to defy all laws of geometry, amirite?

Someone please explain

Your nose shouldn't be able to hold all the snot, but it does.

...Gravity...not geometry...and snot still drips out of my nose when I have a cold but comes back in when i breathe it in. But also thats what nose hails are for, to keep the snot in...and plus snot seems kind of sticky to me...
