There are advantages to having your last name towards the front of the alphabet, amirite?

I liked being in the middle. For example, in swim class the teacher would arrange our positions from shallow to deep, in alphabetical order one day and in reverse the next. I was afraid of the deep end, but since I was in the middle of the alphabet it didn't matter

You're afraid of the deep end? If you were a girl that'd be a bad thing later on in life.

I was then...I'm a bad swimmer and they make you go back and forth without resting a million times

In my college, that advantage is being the last to register for classes. No thanks.

Being in the middle has its advantages, but where I live most of the people have surnames starting with 'M' or 'N' -- I am one of the few who go about bearing an 'O'.

Having a last name starting with W, I can say it is total hell in schools. If there's not enough equipment, you're the lucky bastard who either gets nothing or has to share. This past year, anyone whose last name started with S and so on got lockers that were much smaller than any others... things like that.
It's funny, the only time that teachers do something in reverse order is when it's something you don't want to do.

Yeah. Like my name starts with a Y, so tonight I get to be the last person to walk across the stage tonight at graduation. -_-

No. There are just too many reasons for that NOT to be good but I'm too lazy to write them all down.
