+467 Youre a true 90's kid if you've ever heard someone say, " get off the phone , I need to use the internet.", amirite?

Actually my mom would always say "Get off the internet, I need to use the phone," but close enough.

I never heard this because our family didn't use the phone much :/

I'm a 90's kid and i never heard that :(

You were probably born in the late 90's... Being born in 1998 doesn't qualify you to be a 90's kid. You have to be able to actually remember them.

I was born in 96 but we still had our phone line with our Internet up until I was around 7 or 8. So I heard it alot but usually the other way around.

I was born in 1985 , folks, and I remember waking earlier trying to get icq working on my pentium II, 400 megahertz, 56k modem embedded. My brother would pick up the phone and that would cut the whole thing off. I couldnt leave the internet going overnight because we connected to it when we needed it, otherwise we wouldnt have been able to get phone calls. That was wicked, tho. I remember going to IRC to get mp3 and "warez" and "gamez" way before megaupload and when usenet was way too expensive for a kid like me. If i remember ? Fuck yeah I do.... I miss it somehow, high speed is all fun but it was way more exclusive before. Internet was like a vault a few of us could enter , not for that long , with limited transfert rate (56k connection). We had chance, we were on f-ing internet, folks. Became mainstream around 2000's everybody began checking it out and family got a computer even tho they wouldnt need one , internet. and there you go. Evolved into facebook, myspace and twitter. I don't like it, I miss the web as it was, and I don't wanna go down to deep web for obvious reasons, even if the exclusive feels would definitly be there. That's it folks, from a snes kid. Ciao!
