I'm assuming your some highschool kid, yes? The reason that it's Christians and atheists is because they both have viewpoints, and the definition of an agnostic is one with the lack of a viewpoint. There is no middleground in religion. You either believe or you do not.

well that seems a bit off... agnostics do believe that there is some sort of higher power, they just admittedly don't know what that power is.

Im the OP:its very different because its not what christians believe god to be. i dont think there is a supreme being that gives a damn what we do. Yes i have morals and values but im not gonna deny myself wonderful things in life for something that doesnt care. I say that because the universe is far larger than us and we are absolutely nothing compared to it, and its ignorant as fuck to say that there is not any other form of life out there. Those other life forms wont have the same beliefs as us, does that mean they are condemned because of it. How can we think we know EVERYTHING about existence when we are nothing in the entire scheme of things

OP-continued: i just believe in the possibility of an omniscient being that keeps things in motion, i believe in the possibility of reincarnation and science. Im not ruling out everything, but im not arrogant enough to say that one thing that humans believe on earth is right and THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE is wrong

HAHA YES!! :] For those who dont know what an agnostic is : agnostic; a person who does not deny there could be a god but will not spend time worshipping because there is no proof that there is a higher power

thats not being indecisive! who am i to say that there is a higher power or that there isn't. and if there is which one? there is no proof on any of these things so im not gonna devote my life to worshiping something that might not even exist. i can be a good person without guessing and making bets on which being is out there. any higher power would hopefully be more forgiving than to send me to damnation just because they didn't let me know that they were out there. wouldn't that be their fault for not telling me that in order to go to a "heaven" i have to do this this and this? the only one who is telling me that right now are normal humans. like im supposed to take their word for it

Actually, it is far more intense to be agnostic because you have all of the possibilities in the universe. I take pieces of knowledge from many different religions/practices so you are in no place to call me 'lazy' I believe that we are the universe, everything is connected, god is the universe. So really, I am pursuing god by meditating, mind expansion, and loving every second of my crazy life and understanding how lucky I am to exist here (out of all of the infinite possibilities) and seeing that life is beautiful. What is more amazing? That humans evolved all this way from apes and came so far or the idea that we were just put here. In a way, religion kind of simplifies things and makes existing seem less immaculate than it really is. It is easier for a lot of people to believe we were just put here by god than being born from the chaos of the universe, and that heaven is something you create-many people cant handle that. I seek higher consciousness. Just because I view god as something totally different than you does not mean I am too lazy to pursue such.
