+157 Most people don’t “turn into” arseholes – they were always arseholes, they just stopped hiding it, amirite?

Really? Seriously? We haven't gotten over the fact that certain words are spelt differently in UK English and US English? BTW, the word "arse" was invented by Chaucer, who being English, spelt it "arse". Americans changed it to "ass" which is still correct, but it doesn't change the original.

Geez, don't get your panties in a twist.

I'm not, mate. I just don't understand the point of making such a useless comment. Do you go to every post that has "colour" in it and comment "*color"?

Do you pronounce the r in arse?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes? Like I said, arse was the original spelling for the word that meant "rear end". Ass to me has always meant a donkey.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just say arse if I wanna sound smart.

I thought that is what the insult came from, like the change of being. I mean, I guess you call someone an arse, which would be saying "YOU BUTT!", but I think calling someone an ass, i.e. "YOU DONKEY", is more composed.

I was gonna ask that just out of curiosity. Haha.
