It's weird that we say our phones are "dying," amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not really... we say the same thing about batteries, animals... people? Is it weird to say that my gf is dying from my stds?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Right, but the phone is rechargeable. It would make more sense to say that the phone is sleepy or something.

There are also rechargeable batteries

Ergo, sleepy batteries.

Never heard that expression before

It's not an expression; the post is saying that "dying" isn't the most appropriate term for running out of battery.

Well I realize that, but I'm saying, it's nothing new

I was on the phone with my friend and told them i had to go because my phone was dying. I hung up and my little sister said "oh no! We can't let your phone die. Let's take it to the hospital!"
