i don't know about anonymous but i always end up choosing my responsibilities over my happiness,even if my nephew does make my hair turn grey! (i barely noticed that responsibilities is a long ass word!)

(/b/): Obviously this will be different for every person, but there comes a point when you owe it to yourself to live your own life and put yourself first, you know? I think that choosing responsible shows great character, but if you give up your own happiness too often or for too long, you only end up hurting/bitter.

if you think about it, when you are younger and you choose your responsibilities over happiness, you will more than likely be happier later on in life. If you choose to fuck around with school because you want to have fun, then all of a sudden you are failing classes.. ha not good.

I most definitely agree... you would think logic would tell us to pick responsibilities, which we know will give us more in the end, but when instant gratification is at hand, it seems that logic goes out the window. Gah.
