Everyone has their own opinion. Some people's are based on logic and there is no proof of God. Really how could anyone know if there was a god? if there is an afterlife, you would only know once your dead.

Oh I'm not talking about on here, but about real life. This website seems to have a disproportionately larger liberal/atheist population, but I can't mention that I'm an atheist on facebook or even in person to most people without them getting offended, and then trying to preach back to me. I just would like to point out that this post was very clever. I think everyone,no matter their religious views, is the same in a sense. Atheists (some NOT all) get offended when people preach and Christians (some NOT all) are offended when people say God doesn't exist. To be honest, no one really knows. It's called a BELIEF for a reason...

I'm an Atheist myself, and I may not agree with the Church and their teachings, but calling somebody stupid for what they believe in and insulting their beliefs is crossing a line... Yeah, I go to a Catholic school to, but, I'm agnostic, so It makes it a little better. My mom tells me not to tell anyone or else I'll get killed. (she really thinks this) I've also been told I'm going to hell many times by my friends.

I planned on letting this be one of those things that no one finds out. Some of my family is very old school and religious and it would just not be a pretty sight. But I don't really mind it's just what I believe and I'm used to just keeping quiet, it took me two years of full secrecy to finally decide to tell people

I have just adjusted to it...luckily I have my twin brother who is on the same boat along with like three of our friends. When we all get together we talk about our views but other than that I just am really careful with what I say and it makes me a stronger person in the end

All of these comments kind of remind me of, in the seventh Harry Potter book, when Dumbledore says to Harry something along the lines of "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why in the world should that mean it's not real?" I don't know... talking to someone you can't see or hear is a lot like having an imaginary friend. But as long as God is real to you, in your own head, why should you care if someone says religion is imaginary? Anyway.. I'm rambling a bit, but I really like this post. Funny and quite clever :)

People need to stop freaking out. First of all, I would highly appreciate if everyone stopped telling Atheists they were going to Hell, because we do not believe in Hell so we personally do not care. Second, I do not care what religion you are, you have your beliefs and I respect that so please do the same for me and not try to convert me because I strictly believe in science. Last, I'm sure the person who made this didn't mean that they hated your religion or god (which you can't hate god if you do not believe in him anyways, therefore irrelevant) and it was a witty and funny joke, not meant to be taken seriously.
