Semi-relevant but not really: My co-worker went to Jamaica once and lost his wallet (with his passport and room key in it). He used his last few dollars that he had on him to buy a beer and just sat on the beach. After maybe an hour, a woman found his wallet and came up and asked if it was his. He was eternally grateful.
