Muslims protest the depiction of Muhammad in pictures because then people will start to worship the images, much like Christians pray to, kiss, etc. pictures and depictions of Jesus. Children can be named Muhammad because there is no confusion as to whether the child is the actual prophet Muhammad or not.

Because we name them Muhammad in respect. If we see his face then we might worship him when God says that you shouldn't worship anyone but Him. Why can't people just leave our religion alone and NOT question it?
