+146 Your typing speed is over 70 wpm. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I don't believe this at all. I could see 50 wpm, but 70 is a helluva lot. You're saying over 2/3 of amiriters can finish this with ease: http://www.sporcle.com/games/HenryFieldstone/typingchallenge3 ? (That's kind of just a plug for sporcle, because that website is freaking awesome!)

70 is not that ridiculous. Mine is 95...

"In one study of average computer users, the average rate for transcription was 33 words per minute, and only 19 words per minute for composition.[2] In the same study, when the group was divided into "fast", "moderate" and "slow" groups, the average speeds were 40 wpm, 35 wpm, and 23 wpm respectively. An average professional typist reaches 50 to 70 wpm, while some positions can require 80 to 95 (usually the minimum required for dispatch positions and other time-sensitive typing jobs), and some advanced typists work at speeds above 120." -Wikipedia Clearly 70 wpm is not "kinda slow man"

I'm 88 wpm. When I first learned to type without looking the proper way, I was at 50. So, kids, learning to type the correct way is not a chore. It will help you in the long run, lol.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Does that mean your words can time travel?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Forgive me if I'm being dense, but I don't follow.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

88 mph = Back to the Future

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oooh, lol. I haven't seen those movies in ten years probably. Forgot all about that. I guess my typing DOES have that ability.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My goes from 85 to 50, depending on how grammatically correct I want to be.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mine ranges from about 65 to 95 depending on my mood, tiredness, etc.
