+227 Seamus Finnigan is a highly underrated character in the Harry Potter series, amirite?

"Highly underrated" sounds like an oxymoron... hmm

I reckon it's not, because "highly" in this instance means "very". But you're right that it does sound contradicting - like the phrase "pretty ugly" isn't an oxymoron, because it's usually the word "pretty" to mean "kind of", but it still sounds like one.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I just don't think I've heard this combination before. It's interesting. :P

Even though he was an ass in the 5th book :/ OT: Is it just me or do the dumbledore supporters in said book resemble democrats and his opposers resemble republicans?

IDK about the Democrats/Republican thing (probably just fan interpretation, since UK politics would be different) but most people think the series is sort of a Holocaust analogy, what with "blood purity" and all, and how you can't really trust the people in control - just like how most governments didn't realise how bad and how extreme the Nazi Party was until it was too late.

I have a cat named Seamus and a dog named Finnigan, all for him. He's my favorite.

I named my blanket Seamus and my pillows finnigan and sexy

So is Neville Longbottom.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He's not underrated... everyone I know loves Neville.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Everyone I know thinks he sucks. But we all know that in reality he is a BAMF.

Neville and Seamus are both pretty awesome. But I do agree that Seamus was a complete jerk face in Order of the Phoenix.

For like half of the movie I started yelling at the screen saying SEAMUS, VOLDEMORT IS BACK YOU JERKFACE then when he believed harry I was like there's my boy Seamus :)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't see why. Has he ever done anything special?

by Anonymous 12 years ago
