Maybe a few very ignorant, extremists but the hefty majority are smart enough to know the difference. I know what you're saying though, those crazy bastards give all Christians bad reputations. I would also like to say that some other extremist from different religions would also have the false image of "Atheism = Satanism" but since Christianity is the biggest religion in America you only really see the ignorant Christians saying that.

If you google Laveyan Satanism there's tons of information. But basically it asserts that there is no god and we control our lives. they even have a list of commandments and most of them are pretty straight forward. Like respect people when your in their home. never hurt children. etc
