Then what the hell is the point of it? And recently I kept pushing the Walk button just for fun because it kept saying "wait" in English (I live in Israel) and then when the walk light turned green, it said something about how it needs to be restarted or something. Oops.

When I was little I would push the button multiple times so that I could try make it think that there was more people waiting than there really was.

cross walk buttons have been disabled for years. so even pushing them once won't make the signal appear faster. that being said, i've pushed them before, knowing this.
