I also believe in all of these: http://www.toptenz.net/top-10-most-famous-scientific-theories-that-turned-out-to-be-wrong.php

Well I do believe that there are changes in nature that alters the behavior, looks and lifestyle of different species, like how the Mammoths can be related to Elephants and how the formation of Dolphins came to be,but I find it difficult to say that the human race originated from Monkeys, though we have similar builds,I just find it strange to think about it when not all of them formed into humans like us.

evolution theory is proven right!
by Anonymous12 years ago
This isn't even worth an opinionated rant.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's weird how some theists accept almost all other scientific research as unquestionable fact, but the second researchers find something that goes against theistic beliefs, everything scientists say is codswallop.

You see, this is why you are one of my favorite users. You always bring intelligence to the table.
by Anonymous12 years ago
But scientist could of made all the evolution up. You never know because you AREN'T them!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Scientists could have made gravity up.
After all, it just a theory.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Sorry no. "Gravity is a scientific fact, not a theory." just like ShakinBacon said. :P

The use of exaggeration to prove a point only fools some.
by Anonymous12 years ago
How is it exaggeration if he said "some theists"?
And it's true there are SOME theists that he describes exactly.
His post isn't fooling, it's stating fact.
The use of false accusations is annoying.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's not the part he was exaggerating.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Which part are you talking about?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Mainly, it implies that theists blindly follow whatever scientists say if it doesn't contradict the religion in question.
In reality, theists usually believe scientists because much of what they say has large enough solid proof to be a legitimate idea. Evolution (macro, as it were) cannot be definitively proved. This is the reason most theists (and some atheists) do not follow macro evolution.

It's bullcrap.
by Anonymous12 years ago
YOU'RE BULLCRAP.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yea, that made sense. xD
by Anonymous12 years ago
I believe that individual species can adapt to their environment and get better. But as far as humans evolving from apes .. .. that is bullcrap.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Show me where in the Theory of Evolution that it states we come from Apes, rather than we share the same ancestors.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm kinda in between. I think maybe God guided the process of evolution, either that or creation.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The Catholic church has already stated that evolution is fully complies with the Catholic doctrines.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Thank you! The only people who believe in creationism are fundamentalists. Not devout Catholics.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'd say SOLELY on creationism, but that's just me(:
by Anonymous12 years ago
What do you mean? Fundamentalists are the only ones who believe solely in creationism?
And what would you mean by that?
Because I think that theists who believe in evolution, believe that God set forth evolution.
by Anonymous12 years ago
So many of the Protestant groups are fundamentalists?
by Anonymous12 years ago
All I know is that Catholics who actually follow Catholicism, aren't fundamentalists, though perhaps orthodox. I don't know about certain protestant groups, because I am not protestant. But if they follow genesis as a scientific text of how the world was made, they are fundamentalist Christians, no matter what denomination.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The problem with this whole evolution debate is that-- well I suppose I shouldn't make up a percentage-- is that most people don't actually understand the theory of evolution. Learn it objectively, and then you can decide if you believe in it or not.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Unfortunately for all theistic objections based on this outrageously misinformed tragedy, the phenomena in which scientists have arbitrarily called "evolution" taking place is not some sort of "act of faith"; It isn't contingent on the minds behind the painstaking studies carried out by scholars and scientists for centuries. Rather, the only thing that would be subjective, or entirely man made, are the definitions assigned by scientists to fit this phenomena that is still objectively happening whether theists agree or not. My point- evolution isn't a "belief", in the same respect that televisions aren't a "belief". One will be there with consciousness, and one will be there devoid of it. Seriously. It's as simple as that.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You just said evolution exists because televisions exist. How is this an argument?
