Well I do believe that there are changes in nature that alters the behavior,looks and lifestyle of different species,like how the Mammoths can be related to Elephants and how the formation of Dolphins came to be,but I find it difficult to say that the human race originated from Monkeys,though we have similar builds,I just find it strange to think about it when not all of them formed into humans like us.

Mainly, it implies that theists blindly follow whatever scientists say if it doesn't contradict the religion in question. In reality, theists usually believe scientists because much of what they say has large enough solid proof to be a legitimate idea. Evolution (macro, as it were) cannot be definitively proved. This is the reason most theists (and some atheists) do not follow macro evolution.

What do you mean? Fundamentalists are the only ones who believe solely in creationism? And what would you mean by that? Because I think that theists who believe in evolution, believe that God set forth evolution.

All I know is that Catholics who actually follow Catholicism, aren't fundamentalists, though perhaps orthodox. I don't know about certain protestant groups, because I am not protestant. But if they follow genesis as a scientific text of how the world was made, they are fundamentalist Christians, no matter what denomination.

The problem with this whole evolution debate is that-- well I suppose I shouldn't make up a percentage-- is that most people don't actually understand the theory of evolution. Learn it objectively, and then you can decide if you believe in it or not.

Unfortunately for all theistic objections based on this outrageously misinformed tragedy, the phenomena in which scientists have arbitrarily called "evolution" taking place is not some sort of "act of faith"; It isn't contingent on the minds behind the painstaking studies carried out by scholars and scientists for centuries. Rather, the only thing that would be subjective, or entirely man made, are the definitions assigned by scientists to fit this phenomena that is still objectively happening whether theists agree or not. My point- evolution isn't a "belief", in the same respect that televisions aren't a "belief". One will be there with consciousness, and one will be there devoid of it. Seriously. It's as simple as that.
