+246 It's weird to think that most of us eat the muscles of sheep, pigs and cows on a daily basis, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yea. Its even weirder that the muscles people are eating are making them fat XD

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fat makes them fat. Muscle contains 0 calories (or very few; I'm no nureitionalist).

ahhhh.now I knoe! That is my brain hooked on summer -_-

Omfg stop talking. Protein (which muscle is rich in) provides 4 calories per gram. Additionaly, muscle tissue comes packaged with marbling, or fat, which is technically part of the muscle (physiologically, the fat has the task of providing the muscle with fuel). Fat provides 9 calories per gram. ALSO, the word is "nutritionist", not the thing you just typed.

4/gram is not nearly as much as fats and carbohydrates.. Besides, I didn't say fat and muscle (I know they're generally together, I'm not that stupid),I just said muscle, mostly because the good meats won't actually make you fat. And excuse me for using a weird new keyboard with a slightly adjusted layout that screws up half of my words.

Your words: "Muscle contains 0 calories (or very few)." Both statements were wrong.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Take it in perspective. Muscle has less than half the calories of fat, as you say.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fat is a part of muscle, granted that different muscles from different animals vary widely in their fat content.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That depends on how specifically you define muscle.

Survival of the fittest, motha fucka!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's weird that you think its weird for people to eat one of the most common sources of food for any animal.

I feel bad agreeing with a troll.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

not I, said the vegetarian! :D

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it sounds so barbaric when you say it that way...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

its weird you mentioned sheep first, and never mentioned chicken.
