+214 Voldemort shouldn't have used his snake to kill Snape. If the wand really did belong to Snape it would either have had to give its allegiance to Nagini (which might be possible, because she had a piece of a human's soul) or lose all its power, because its last master wasn't killed by another wizard. All his planning and scheming, and he risked losing his wand to a snake, amirite?

Nagini had a piece of Voldemort's soul in her, so it does make sense. Anyway, that point is kinda moot anyway.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was thinking the same thing. The only loophole I can think of is that since Nagini had a piece of Voldemort's soul in her, it would default to the human soul contained within, like stated above.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah but if Voldemort used the killing curse Snape would be totally dead and Harry couldn't collect his memories for the pensive. It would have created a confusing plot hole if the snake wasn't used. Plus the whole "Nagini has Voldemort's soul in her" thing.

But Voldy could have just pulled a knife, said something about Snape being such a good servant he deserved to die with more dignity than the thousands Voldy had killed with the killing curse, and stabbed him through the heart. Then Harry could still have found him and there would be no chance that the Elder wand would belong to Voldy's pet snake.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You did it. You came up with a near perfect solution to the problem. Now the only thing left is why Snape had to die at all, seeing as the wand changed allegiance every time it's master was disarmed. Though, I think all that would have accomplished is that when the wand still resisted Tom, he would have come to the conclusion that Snape needed to die, so perhaps it was more efficient to just skip having Snape be disarmed anyway.

If Snape was killed instantly then Harry would never have gotten the memory from him and found out that a part of him had to be destroyed. Ergo there would not have been a happy ending.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Voldemort knew that he couldn't kill snape using the elder wand since he thought that Snape is the master of the elder wand, so the spell wouldn't work, and might backfire. And since he's the one who ordered nagini to kill him and nagini has a part of his soul, so he would become the master of the elder wand.

Wow. I'm currently reading the final book to prepare me for the movie. You have successfully just ruined the Harry Potter franchise for me. Is there anyway to give a spoiler alert on these kinds of posts for future reference?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The book has been out for quite a while, why haven't you read it yet?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

***New what the posts were about, so shut up. Your own fault.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's a really old book. Stfu and read the book quickly instead of amirite posts you whiny bitch. Nobody gives a shit. We could of posted loads of spoilers years ago when the book came out, and we waited until the film so atleast a bigger majority new

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Harsh.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

DOBBY DIES. Fred, lupin and tonks also die. Harry gets killed and then comes back to life and kills voldemort. Ron and Hermoine get married, as do Harry and Ginny. I think that's it

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No you ruined it for yourself. Instead of reading posts on here, you shouldve finished the book by now.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

SPOILER ALERT ASSHOLE.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Books, dumbass.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We're not the only ones who read the books, be considerate of other people. Some people just watch the movies so don't spoil it, they might not have seen it yet.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It just annoys me that people complain about spoilers when they could have known the whole time if they picked up a book.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well OP should have considered the fact not everyone was able to get the book and has seen the movie yet. Stop assuming everyone knows what's happening in the series. I did read the book, and your still being a douche bag. Have you ever considered not everyone has access to it, you're assuming every single person must have read the book.

The seventh book came out almost four years ago. We shouldn't have to censor our "spoilers" just because the books were being turned into a movie. That's like saying (SPOILER ALERT!) that Simon and Piggy die in Lord of the Flies, or that Dally and Johnny die in the Outsiders. The books have been out for a while now, and we should be able to talk about them openly without people complaining that they don't know what happens.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

SIMON DIES?!?!!?!?111

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Pretty much.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There's a thing called a LIBRARY and you can check books for free.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The book came out 4 years ago. Libraries exist. You had time.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I always thought that Voldemort thought that since he ordered Nagini to attack Snape, he would get it, and he was too ignorant to simply disarm Snape.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He disarmed Snape and as Harry discovers later, the wand was his because Draco disarmed Dumbledore, and Harry disarmed Draco...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"If the wand really did belong to Snape..." "If." It's a hypothetical statement from Voldy's point of view.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At least my comment took half a brain and I didn't go 'omg spoiiilerrr'

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Overly defensive much? My reply wasn't meant as an insult, I was just pointing out that, from Voldy's point of view, his actions may have been slightly stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But wait. The piece of the human soul within nagini, happens to be voldemort's.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Bitch the Elder Wand was MINE. Wands only give their allegiance to HUMAN witches or Wizards.A random piece of soul doesn't count. That's like saying Hufflepuffs cup could have been the master of the wand.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't be an asshole, guys. Some people just haven't gotten around to reading the book yet.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i hate how the spoiler alerts say that the post may contain things that will spoil the movie. NO, it will spoil the BOOK. idiot.
