Yeah, but rich people are so rich because they're smart with their money...and have you seen rich people's houses? I would hardly say they don't know how to enjoy it their wealth...

That's precisely right. Accumulating wealth entails declining marginal utility, and is followed by increasing marginal propensity to save, which leads to a declining marginal propensity to consume. So what you end up getting is a bunch of rich people having money for the sake of having money. Makes sense to just give the rich higher taxes, since you’re more likely digging into savings, rather than non-expendable wages.
