+177 Even if you like him, you have to admit Obama probably isn't going to get reelected in 2012, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't know how to vote because I agree with the second part but not the first part

by Anonymous 12 years ago

reply fail. Just read what i wrote below

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Okay?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't get why. I said even if you like him. Not even though you do

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hmmm, Obama seems to be doing better than Ol' George, and he got elected two terms. He even caught and killed one of America's biggest enemies. Stop hating and start represidating!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

His ratings are below 50 %. Now, as a society, can we PLEASE move on?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

so were GWBs after his first term and he still got re-elected...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Racism, anyone?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How is that racist in any way shape or form? Nothing was mentioned of his race, only of his approval ratings. You need to stop throwing around that word carelessly, it's annoying and only shows your ignorance.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I said that because most of the republicans I know don't care about that and are rednecks who only care that the current president is African American. They even openly said so. How is THAT not racism?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's racist only if they admit to it. The person you replied too admitted nothing of the sort. Not ALL republicans care that he's black. Most republicans care more about his democratic views than his color and it's overgeneralization to say otherwise. That's a bit like saying all blacks hated GWB while he was in office purely because he was white. See how stupid that sounds?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well yeah I guess that makes more sense. Damn I should have trolled you, I had the perfect chance D:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You could have :) I'm glad you didn't though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's just like how I am with comebacks. I am WAY worse than most people; I think of a good one 2-3 YEARS later.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, and who do the Republicans have? Maybe if there was a stronger candidate from the other side, but I think he'll keep it. Especially with this debt ceiling solved, he should be the favorite.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, Obama was the one solving the debt ceiling. Without him, we would be defaulting soon.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I didn't say that, but had we defaulted people would be blaming him whether it was his fault or not

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Who is to blame would depend on perspective, though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm going to vote for him. The Republicans (more specifically the Tea Party) have acted despicably over the debt ceiling issue, refusing to compromise. If even suspect that the Democrats will win back the House and keep the Senate. I am appalled by the Republicans behavior. It's despicable. They refused to compromise and move from their party line.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Even though I hate what Obama has stood for in office, he will most likely be reelected. It is very hard to beat a sitting president because he is the news and regardless of who the opposing candidate might be, they simply wouldn't carry all the media coverage. A prime example would be the speech Obama gave last week about the debt ceiling... it was way more a jab at the opposing party and a campaign speech than it was about the issue at hand.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In response to the last bit- That's exactly why he shouldn't be reelected.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think he's going to get re-elected but I don't think a republican is going to win, I think there are enough democrats who don't agree with Obama and will campaign against him. And that a new Democrat is going to take house.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I disagree, I think the majority of democrats are going to back Obama. There isn't really a strong democratic opponent that's widely known and Obama has the best chance of winning.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There isn't a strong Republican candidate.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

well yeah, exactly. i'd say obama with moderate backing from democrats has more of a chance than one of the republicans backed by only a small fraction of the gop population

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Bush screwed up MUCH more and was reelected...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats don't have the balls to point fingers.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He is probably going to get reelected. What Republican candidate in the current field could pick up the independent or moderate vote?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not a big Obama supporter, but I'd rather have him as our president instead of crazy- ass, Michelle Bachmann, any day of the week.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Same. It surprises me how much people still make fun of Palin when we have this whackjob in congress. Bachmann reminds me of a mix between Palin and Ann Coulter.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sad thing is, they might get close. We almost got Palin as VP last time. VERY close call.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, no. He'll definitely be reelected. The Tea Party is like the Westboro Baptist Church of politics. They won't win. At least I hope not. D:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Between Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry, I hope to God the republican party does not prevail in the 2012 election. I live in Texas, and this state is shit. Rick Perry took money that was supposed to be for education and spent it on the highways. I swear he spends more money on his hair and his home than he does on this state.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is like Rick Scott in Florida. He lied to the entire state to get elected, and wound up being one of the most hated governors in America.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I live in Texas too, but I fail to see how the state is "shit." Especially since our unemployment rate is lower than most other states.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1) Our education system in general. 2) The fact that it was even up as an option to teach creationism. 3) Our governor is an idiot. 4) Our gigantic homeless population which is actually a pretty big deal I really should have said education and our governor, but considering the governor represents the state, and the horrible education is affecting the next generation to run the state, I'd say things are pretty crappy. I could also talk about the weather, the super conservative republicans who are insane (and I do mean only the insane ones who think creationism is more important than the founding fathers, not all republicans), more about education and Rick Perry spending money that was set aside for education on highways, etc. But I won't.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I want Obama to get reelected. The GOP candidates are all fucking jokes. Especially Michele Bachmann.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I heard on the news yesterday that Obama is ahead in a couple swing states

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's not racism if he's a bad president anyway...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I was going to ask "Have you seen the news lately?" but then I realized when this was posted. Now, seeing where Obama is versus Romney, it's probably a sure shot. Obama has clear views, stances, and plans on everything, whereas Romney doesn't. And if he does, it's a terrible stance (Eg. voucher care). Plus, Romney is hiding something in his tax returns (obviously), seeing as he asked Paul Ryan for 10 years of returns when he himself only gives one year.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't live in the US, I'm watching this stuff unfold from a safe distance. Seriously, I still can't fully comprehend that Romney winning is an actual POSSIBILITY.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Agreed. So terrifying.
