by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was kind of sad when I turned 17.

Most, really.

I just turned 16 a few days ago, and nothing really feels different, to be honest. =/

I'll be seventeen in nine days. So far I've looked behind the fridge, under the piano, and in my mom's huge potted plant and still no magic. I've found a lot of loose change, though.

I turn 16 tomorrow... let's hope it's as magic as little-girl me hoped it would be.

Aw thanks :D Love your profile picture btw.

I have never really been into the birthday thing. I get some cake and like twenty dollars, whoopdee fucking doo. Just another day for me, I guess.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I never really thought much of turning 16, because I knew I wouldn't get a car or a party. I know that sounds selfish, but it was really just another birthday for me.

When I was really little and I'd play House, I always wanted to be the 19 year old sister...19 was always the magic number for me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's seventeen for me. That's when I'm able to join the Army Reserves (with parental consent). Actually, I'm joining when I'm like, seventeen and two or three months old. xD

It was fifteen for me cause that was when my mom told me my beauty would begin to shine...

Ick... I hate being sixteen. I don't know if this will make sense to anyone, but to me it's one of those cliche ages. Most teenagers in television shows and books seem to be sixteen. Plus it's supposed to be sort of a turning point... like a big step up... so there's a lot of pressure. Same with thirteen. I hated being thirteen. Fifteen was a good year, and I'm looking forward to seventeen, but I feel like there's a stigma attached to sixteen. When you say sixteen, people immediately think of 'ooo driving' or 'ooo pregnant teenager!' In reality it's an age where you're a little lost. Seventeen to me seems more grown up... on the cusp of being an adult. And at fifteen, you embrace the fact that you're young and you're a teenager. At sixteen, you're kind of itching to get out of high school and all that shit. Plus there's no longer a Taylor Swift song about you. Anyway, I just kind of needed to get that all out of my system.

Why is this just for girls?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1 month and 6 days until my 16th. i can't wait to feel exactly the same!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I always felt something was different between 15 and 16. I know not much is going to change, but I can't help but feel like everything will.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I liked 14. I'm 15 now and school started to get hard like a few months after I turned 15. NCEA starts at 15 (NZ equivalent of SAT's, I think). So 14 was good.
