+315 Out of all spells, Obliviate may be the most useful. Parents grounded you? Obliviate! Teacher gave you homework? Obliviate! Boss mad at you? Obliviate! amirite?

...until you're the only sane person left

It's a close thing between Obliviate and Accio

by Anonymous 12 years ago

YES!i think about accio CONSTANTLY like every single time i lose that little object thats so important...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't you have to know/concentrate on where an object is to Accio it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

not where it is, just what it is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly! I could not pay enough to be able to use that spell

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The word you are looking for is "tie".

I think a Death Eater would disagree. Parents grounded you? Avada Kedavra! Teacher gave you homework? Avada Kedavra! Boss mad at you? Avada Ked... Well, maybe not on that last one. Considering, you know, who their boss is wary

The apparation spell. I could leave for work 3 seconds before I have to be there :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

True, but that isn't really a spell.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Reparo would be pretty useful too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, I don't want my parents to lose their whole memory and forgot who I even am. Modifying their memory would be better, like what Hermione did to her parents, but that spell was never told lol.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

its just a better prepared Obliviate coupled with some sort of false memory planter spell (maybe Confundus). In hp7 they controllably wipe the last few hours from the death eaters memory when they had just escaped the wedding.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah I suppose it depends on what you want it to wipe; their whole memory or just that bit. Maybe the reason why Lockhart's whole memory was wiped was because the spell backfired. Anyways it's not that much of a used spell throughout the series; it was mainly focused on and used in the 2nd and 7th books only.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, Obliviate is the memory modifier, completely destroying someone's entire memory is its least common from. When you use that spell on someone, you concentrate on what memories you want gone and if you want anything to replace those memories.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Also, accio would be much more useful. Can't reach the remote? Accio. Feeling lazy to go to the kitchen and get your own food? Accio. Forgot something upstairs? Accio.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Left your wand upstairs? Acci- oh, wait...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hahahaha :P

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yo momma's a fat bitch? OBLIVIATE, mothafucka! -Trya

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Forgot the muscles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

haha imagine if someone obliviated Voldemort. im pretty sure hilarity would ensue.
