I would say one of the problems with those drugs is that you lose your judgement while under the influence of them very easily, and I don't really want to share the road with someone who is high or be near someone who could be violent because they are under the influence of a serious drug.

Alcohol does the same thing, and it's legal. There are thousands of drunk drivers on the road right now. Making drugs legal wouldn't create that problem, it already exists.
